Interesting fault today.
Vehicle, 2004 TD4 had permanent interior light front and rear and boot.

In an attempt to simply identify whether it was the ccu output or a rogue input, I firstly checked that there was no door open light.

I then disconnected the 3 plugs on the side of the ccu which have the door shut inputs. The output, in this case, comes via the ccu to fuse box connector. The light went out!!

So, with no door open indicators I thought about what else puts the light on. Unlocking the drivers door puts the light on and the arrangements for the drivers door are different to the other 4 doors.

Noted that drivers door didn't unlock on the fob. Changed door lock and both problems solved.

So the door obviously was putting a 'just unlocked' signal permanently into the ccu.
I am going to make up a test box with switches and lights for status for the tailgate and doors using plugs cut from the scrap Freelander to allow simple testing of rear door, car doors and windows etc..
