Hi i’ve got a 1996 Discovery with which the interior lights started playing up.
I decided to check each of the door switches and found that the one for the near side front door had a corroded terminal on the back where the wire connects and that the wire had come of and disappeared into the door pillar.
Anyone know how i can get to the wire, thanks.

Remove the the 'kick panel' in the footwell and you will find the wire exiting through a hole in the A pillar and into the wiring loom.
You will need to do a 'fishing' to get the wire backup between the two holes, better to drop a wire down from the switch hole and to pick it up at the lower one in the A pillar and join the two together at and leave the joint behind the kick panel.
All the above is my logic if I had to retrieve that wire, as I've never had too but I'm aware of this issue.
