Hi,

Just renewed my insurance.

I'm 32 and my wife is 33. Both insured to Drive Fully Comp.

Drive a Disco II GS TD5 2000 model. 4 years NCD best I could come up with is Adrian Flux ( found in most landy mags ) at £364.

Last year it was Sure Term Direct.

91, v8 limited milage 5000, no no claims as im on motor trade policy, sure term £468, adrian flux £306, tesco £ they can kiss my ass, nfu not tryed, o its only tpft
anyone else?

ok guy's, it's sorted, firebond are insuring my v8 TPFF with limited miles of 5000 for £186.00 and they also are covering the house insurance too, £50 cheaper than the 5 others I rang.

Hi try Highway insurance they cover my 89EFi Range Rover over 20,000 miles with 90 days European cover for £196 fully comp with 5 years no claims with break down

Charlotte

I am insured with NFU and have been for 9 years, I am not to sure of the exact price(maybe £240ish) but its a lot more than £127.I have a 200 TDI and live in Deryshire I am 49 with FNC. I will be giveing them a ring.

Just insured mine as second vehicle (therefore no attributable no claims discount - used on main vehicle). Got a quote from direct line - fully comp approx £920, TFT approx £750. Phoned the AA - fully TFT £530, Fully Comp £234. Yep! Fully comp is cheaper that TFT.

If your disco is a 2nd car and you no no claims discount, then try firebond, there in the loi mag, like i said previous £189 tpff, its insured as a classic as it's on a 91.

You got nothing to lose ?

Thanks, will try them next time. I have allowed 12K miles for the year, I dont know how much cheaper for less.
Insurance paperwork arrived in todays post - actual cost is £229.89.
It is a Discovery 1996 2.5 TDi ES and I bought it because I live on the North East coast and need a practical vehicle + to get to work in the coming winter + need to get materials etc for the house (just moved). Other car is a Alfa Romeo GTV - not practical for carrying anything and absolutely pants on ice or snow.:)
