Hi
Could anyone tell me what experiences they have had or heard of with insurance companies reactions when there has been and engine change on a Landy?
I have a 1987/88 110 county with a 2.5.N/A engine and am considering a change to a 2.5TD or a 200tdi.
But when I asked my insurers the reaction was not good! (Read expensive).
As my model is a County TD spec without the Turbo, I though adding one would be small beer, but no its adding a turbo and seems to scare the hell out of underwriters.
I asked if an engine change would be easer on them and was told I would need and engineers report! For a stock Landy engine, in a stock vehicle to a production spec, and then it would always be a 'modified' vehicle!
Any thoughts anyone?
