looking to insure my good old series 3 109, hasn't yet got MOT but I'm 99.9% sure it'll pass without a doubt. Been told I'll have to insure it as a truck? What's the best/preferably cheapest place to insure it?

Thanks bankz :)

Welcome to the forum Elle!

What an awesome car choice for a young driver! Feel free to drop me a PM with your details and I'll give you a call, I'm sure we can help sort competitive cover.

Thanks

Jordan :)

Welcome and good luck.
Just wanted to say I got muuuuuuuuuuuch cheaper quotes to add my son to my 90 as a named driver than to a "normal" small car, not sure what a stand alone quote would be like though.
What is your Landy classed as on the logbook?

My lads insurance came down considerably with me and his mum as named drivers on his policy....No idea why

Cost £30 to add me to my eldest lads insurance (1.6 focus) bringing it to just over £300 but to add him to my normal car which is a lower insurance group than his (not the 90) took my insurance to over £500 o_O

Pretty sure they just pull numbers out of the air, rarely any rhyme or reason that I can see

Adrian Flux are really good. And they don't penalise you lime other insurers do for a big chunk of modifications either.

In fact, I think some of the mods I declared made it cheaper than I was expecting, I assume this is because they value their insurance based on the fact that people who have these type of vehicles actually care about they're cars.
