Insa Turbo Rangers - experience?

Hi all, I think this is one of my first posts outside the defender forum. I’ve got a 1990 LR 90 with a 300tdi conversion, which I got at the end of June and was my first LR.
I’m looking for some new tyres and have heard insa turbo rangers have the exact same tread pattern as general grabber AT’s, but are much cheaper.
They’re remoulds but I’m also told that remoulds blowing out with no apparent reason is a myth/extremely rare.
I use my 90 as a daily driver on the road but will be green laning once I’ve carried out some repairs/personalisation.
Does anyone have any advice/experience?
Any answers appreciated.

I haven’t any experience of rangers but I have Sahara’s on my series 3 (200 TDi conversion). They are good but very noisy. Have you thought about Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10? Not a remould if that worries you but still quite cheap

I had rangers on a D2, not that noisy and seemed to be hard wearing

Think they are pretty good for a cheap AT remould. They wont be as noisy as Insa Dakars, because they are a less aggressive tread pattern.
If you want that sort of tyre, Toyo Town and Country might be worth a look too.

Only thing id say about remoulds is they do corrode a bit quicker than a 'new' tyre does, you know those annoying little cracks. But they are cheaper so I guess you takes your pic!
As remoulds go, Insa's do have a good reputation!

Thanks for all the replies, from what I gather there doesn’t seem to be anyone with a reason to not recommend re-moulds. Now to have a look into the hankook and toyo tyres mentioned & compare cost

Hmmm I have to be honest, my Insa Turbo I kept for 7 years or so and replaced as they were beginning to wear down, I had done approx 25k..... I swapped to BFG's thinking they were going to be awesome.... 2 years later and 3k in they are wearing A LOT faster..

Nothing wrong with remoulds on a relatively slow vehicle. Have a look at the Fedima range too, although I think they may mainly be a bit more aggressive than what you are after. I love my Fedima Maximas, they are rock. Fedima may do an AT as well

Cheers, I have a pair of cooper Discoverer STT’s on at the minute, next to brand new. They’re ok for road use but they protude slightly past the original arches. I have a wide arch kit but don’t like the look on my truck. Also I think it’d be a shame to wear them down with mainly road use so fancy something more road orientated.

I don't like the appearance of wide arch kits. I think they look like sofas attached to the wheel arches.
