Key wont turn in ign, works after many tries but even though key doesnt move at all the alarm goes off.
Is this electronic or mechanical fault please

When my ignition lock started playing up like that, I didn't bother with any "how tos", I just replaced the barrel. It does mean that you'll have a separate key for the ignition and another for the driver's door unless you buy a complete set of new barrel locks, but so far I haven't needed to use the EKA.

Thanks for all the good advice, I'll be giving it a good looking at over Christmas

Sold it , being picked up tomorrow :(:(

Shiiiit, I'm a gnats boll0ck away from putting my 110 up. I'd miss it like mad but it just ain't the right tool for the job. You gonna be landyless when the disco goes then? I'm thinking an amarok for the daily stuff and long distance and a series for weekend toy

Would love a series 3 as they are cheap at the moment, trouble is old age and ill health is keeping me from doing the heavy work involved with servicing and maintaining an old landy, that's the reason I have to sell.

Less age and ill health more time and space for me, but understand the difficulty.

You've gotta live under a landy haven't you, they don't let you down but they need constant fettling.

I need space for my caravan and the time to use it with my young family so fear the defender has to go. What are you gonna be running instead?

I'm not infirm just that my lungs are fecked and I get very tired even just changing a wheel, have no trouble lifting a wheel onto the bonnet just have to sit down for ten minutes after I've done it, very annoying
Looking at a Rav 4 or similar, something that needs little attention and is reliable, need something unusual :)

Yep that's the way forward, are you under the quacks with your bagpipes?
