immobiliser

been tryin to find an immobiliser thats suitable for a 200 tdi defender.im after a keypad type,but most ive found wanna go thru the ecu,which obviously i dont have in the 200 tdi,which was a td.

anyone know of one ?

I fitted a Cat 2 one to my 200. Was new/unused on ebay and cost £1.

It's the dongle type though.

All you can really do with the immobiliser on the 200 tdi is isolate into 2 ccts.
One being the red/white ignition starter cct and the other being the white wire for the fuel shut-off valve.
That said and because I had three ccts available I isolated the starter cct both sides of the starter relay.
I also have a key operated battery isolating switch.

I don't think there's much more that can be done.
