to quote the fat bloke, Sean, You took the words right outta my mouth!
Learning to spanner is just that: learning; but the beauty of your Landy is that it's really just a big meccano set, get down under her, have a look under the bonnet, see what makes her tick; you'll soon find something that needs greasing, tweaking, replacing! :D
:welcome2: to the asylum! :D

thanks, just ordered a bucket load of books including the haynes to get me started, took out some evil looking carpets (pink!! in a green landy), and found the owners manual, a dead mouse and a very strong smell of urine that could cut cheese, chassis will here in 2 weeks, whats best, taking the body off whole or bit by bit to see what needs replacing? steve

first things first,, if its got tits or wheels it will give you problems.. so get rid of the tits, and believe me and a few others in the forum aswell the tits are the biggest 1 once that one as gone the wheels are only a little problem, and it leaves you free to carry on,

jesus, talk about baptism of fire ! straight in for a chassis swap. be worth it in the end though. welcome to the forum, there is a whole world of advice on here, which will hopefully help you on your way.

before posting specific queries, would check your manuals, then do a search on here. If your question still isn't answered, then post a question, and somebody will help you.

nothing more annoying than someone posting the same question that has already been answered again and again.

very best of luck with your project. (piccies please)
