Ignition problem

Hi I have a 04 vogue and had issues with the key turning
I purchased a brand new barrel matched to my key and it worked fine for 3 weeks
Now same problem is happening again
When key is inserted you can hear the steering lock disengage but still the key won't turn
After putting the key in and out about 20 times and locking and unlocking the car it finally turns
Can anybody help as everyone I speak to in the trade doesn't seem to know
