Hi Guys. Been out in the car today and all was well till Ihad to lock the car on the 2nd time between venues, took the key out but I was being to that the key was still in the ignition barrel. Could only lock the car by the drivers door lock, tried to use the fob a few time but still the same, changed batteries but nothing. Any body got any idea as to what it may be. Thanks.

If you mean you had the "Key in Ignition" warning on the dash when you take the key out, it will be the shutter in the ignition barrel sticking. Wash it out with contact cleaner and when it has dried out put some Graphite powder in there.

And don't just put the graphite powder back in the draw, put it in a plastic bag.... makes a right mess in my rubbish draw, still all over the place one year later!

Good tip. if only I had done that and not just put it in the drivers door pocket:rolleyes:

Got pleanty of graphite as I'm an old style carpenter who uses things like that and tallow for screws going into hardwood. Could I use a contact cleaner first say like XCP not say WD40 or 1 just for electric's only

I use Aeroclene 50, but Servisol do a range of contact cleaners.
