no one knows where this idel control valve is located then?:frusty::mooning::violin::focus:

Yes it's in your hand on the second photo.
I'll go along with that, and that bleedin orrible LPG mixer ring is more likely the long term reason for your idling issue as the fuel trims will be shot to bu--ery with that rubbish feeding it.;)

and yes i know its this now lol you always have to realise i know nothing at all about engines apart from the bits i have already worked on in this car as i have never delved into an engine before this!!
so is there a way of telling its knacked then no? is there any other likely cause of cut out when braking?

can i just buy another and replace it? or is it not that easy needs setting up or something?????

The stepper motor..if faulty..is just replaced..not usually a need for diagnostic stting up as idle speed is controlled by the engine ecu and any idle speed changes are carried out by changing parameters with diagnostics instead of the old way of just tweaking the idle speed adjustment screw on the carb.

thanks irish so plug and play ill go down to the factors in morning and see how much one is any ideas??

I think you will find they are only available from LR parts suppliers, highly unlikely your local factors will have them. Rather than just going out and buying new parts, I would see if there is any way of proving yours is shot..at best by substitution with a known good one....this way you are keeping expenditure to a minimum.
Generally speaking, these motors are pretty reliable:behindsofa:
