Morning all,

EVerytime I connect my i-Pod to my Range Rover using a Jack to Jack lead the volume is very quite. I have to turn the stereo to maximum to just about hear what is playing!

What do I need to do so the i-Pod plays at a normal radio volume?

Thanks in advance

I dont have any restrictions on volume. Most of the time I use my i-Phone and it still is really quite

Anyone else?

I would ensure your volume settings are correct as before on the actual ipod. the 3.5mm jack will act like headphones so quiet volume on the ipod will mean quiet output on the stereo. Similar with iphone. Check manuals if unsure. There maybe a setting depending on your ipod model that has volume protection - to avoid blowing your ears with headphones. Make sure thats turned off.

If the volumes on the devices are at full whack check your connections. Possible dodgy lead can mean the audio isn't fully transferred. Test the cable it at home using your hifi or tv amp.

If that works ok then I would look at the female connections on the vehicle. It's possible they're not making contact with the plug. Try buying another cheapy lead to test.

I would doubt its the RR thats at fault. I suggest a problem with the idevices or the actual lead.
