Picked my freelander up yesterday afternoon, its a 1999 1.8 xei 50th anaversery, 74000 mls really pleased. I,ve been having a play this morning & and found when i engage the hill decent the light don't come on, 0n the dash. I aint tryed it off road yet, but i'm hoping its something simple. All lights come on when i first turn on ignition. Can anyone help ??

Have you tried it in first gear or reverse - only operates in these gears.

Also could be a duff contact on the switch - on mine the wire had broken away from the terminal - a quick solder and all fixed for nowt!!
