my dad passed away just under a year ago and unfortunatly i have only just got round to cleaning out the barn at home and at the back we found this its not a land rover ie 90 /110 ect what is it and someone has put a rover deisel engine in it as the badge shows rover deisel there is something wrong as the wheel base is only 107 inch
i want to start using it as its a family as its got centermental value a freind of mine has a rusty camero with a sweet v8 that he has offerd me how should i go abought fitting it any help would be very very helpfull thanks

That badge, if in good condition is worth a couple of hundred quid on its own! More than likely it original engine.

Is it a station wagon? We need piccies..... It may be something special :) 107's is ****e state are not cheap!

What ever you do.... please please please don't butcher it. 107's are ****ing rare in themselves, even more so desiel ones.

107 would make it a LWB Series 1 wouldn't it. I'd be inclined to try removing the existing engine before I tried to fit the V8. :D

I think someone's taking the ****

 I know certian people that would acctually castrate you if you traybacked it or put a v8 in it.

They are seriously rare.... If you can find a Series 1 LWB Station Wagon Diesel for sale i will be shocked. They are a hell of lot rarer than a 101FC

I understand that its sentamental value but if you ruin it, you might as well start burning £50 notes now.

It will probably have a 2.0Ltr Desiel in it.... The First Desiel that Land Rover produced.

Restore it, Use it, take it to shows but for the love of god please don't ruin it.

if they fetch that sorta money - then its worth restoring it as standard at sell it. certainly not cut it up or butcher it.

as Mseries says - take it to shows - show it orf, have fun!!! - (its nice posing on occasions)
