I have got weight issues.

Plus, I'm fat. Hello everyone, my gearbox exploded in Tescos car park, (yet another reason for me to hate Tescos) now I need to get a replacement, I'm going to get one off ebay but to get courier quotes I need to know the weight. Does anyone have a gearbox out at the moment, and some bathroom scales handy? Or better still, does anyone happen to know the weight of a gearbox and transfer box? Thanks.

Lanndy gearboxes aren't that difficult to shift. Find a mate with a hatchback and get him to help you collect it from wherever, two of you can easily lift one in and out. I collected one from Paddocks some years ago in an Impreza estate without much trouble.

I used to juggle them at weekends, I just don't like travelling.

I'm a fat git too, bad innit.
Palletline will shift it for you, but it'll cost 45 quid, and if you dont have a forklift at both ends you will have to arrange someone to handball it, as the driver will not want to know about helping you off with it.

Palletline were fine when i used them..they had one of those hand operated 'palletisers' in the back..i think i had to order a wagon with a lift on it...but i didnt pay more than 50 notes for a half pallet.

Do you mean a pallet truck and a hydraulic tail lift.
50 notes is cheap for one of them, not worth messing about and paying for petrol is it.

Yeps, thats what i mean but the words didn't get from my synapses to my fingers. Just make sure wherever its getting picked up from theres someone in...cos they dont hang about if they're not...
