dammit, i think one front bearing has failed. i dreading it actually, but not totally convinced. im not at home at the moment, have no tools or anything. going to get it recovered tomorrow to a garage, luckelly still have the hippo to use.

yes, the old softroader, hippo, gaylanger what ever u want to call it. i call it beast

hippo come from the advertising campain where they had a freelander wading next to a hippo. they looked the same, execpt the hippo got out of the waterhole under its own steam

swung by the garage today. they have never heard this sound before so that sounds expencive

update. turned out to be the front OS bearing. Tim had never heard anything like it. it was so gritty and grindy, unlike the usual wail/groan/squeek that comes usually.

2nd hand hub for £50 and were on the road again

i need to replace my bearings i reckon, theres deffo a bit of noise, gonna get 4 timkens and press em myself!

thats a job for the summer tho, i want the car on the road for the snowy weather, gonna go worry some cars in the snow!!!
