hello i put a new diff lock switch in my t box and then i heard a bang while tryin it out... it poped out of diff lock (that was the bang)

i av manged to unscrew the switch a bit and put the lockin nut down etc...

it seems to be workin ok now...

then i jacked it up, the front near side wheel, i put it in 1st and diff lock and the wheel turned a bit then stoped then did the same just in diff lock and netrual and it did the same just moved a bit !!!

does that mean that it is workin now ???

cheers anthony

checked it and in gear it turned a bit then stoped then in netraul it turned and turned

that sound ok ??

n cheers 4 the reply

If difflock is working and engaged, jacking up one wheel or axle will still allow the vehicle to drive as the other axle will have power.
When out of difflock, jack up one wheel and all the power will go through that wheel so no ability to drive.
Is the difflock light coming on when you engage difflock?
Hope that helps.

Yes, this is the test to check centre diff lock and it sounds like yours is working normally.

Might be worth trying the same with the rears. If you're checking the difflock you probably suspect a problem .. which could be a rear half-shaft.
