how to tell the difference

hi all
once again another stupid question from the king of stupid questions
i have seen a disco in a dealership its a r reg station wagon
all the blurb says is 2.5tdi how do you tell what engine it has
eg 200 300 t5 etc etc
i like the look of it but would like to know what engine it is first

In a nutshell the 300 has the larger lights. Introduced 1994.

So it's a 300TDi 4 cylinder 2.5 litre unit.

I like these cars, especially the auto and the spec seems nice if you can do without air con (on the other hand it's one less thing to go wrong).

There's lots of advice if you do a forum search on what to look for, and I'm sure current owners will be most helpful.

rear bumper is the easiest give away. 200=plain black rear bumper. 300=as 200 bt with lights in it. td5 moulded plastic with landrover embossed in the middle

freelander=no back bumper.
