Team - I have a wonderfully rebuilt 2.25 Petrol. Can someone please advise me on a run-in procedure (revs, filters, oils). I do very little mileage in the car. I understand I need to use Run In Oil? Tom

I dont think you need any special oil but it is advisable to change it and the filter after 3000 miles. Other than that, just drive it steady for the first 2 or 3 thousand miles. Its hard to stress a series engine if its been rebuilt properly.

Basic rule is to keep it happy. Keep the revs over 2,000, under 4 (Yes, by ear, you can do this!). 500 miles will do it, change the oil and filter then, and again at 2,000. Reset tappets and check the belt then too.
