Freelander 1 How to remove vcu FAQ?

I understand that there is a FAQ on removing the vcu prior to replacing with a reconditioned one.
I have searched but have not found it. I think it was done by Hippo. Can anyone point me to where it is please?

Are there any pitfalls / complications to look out for whilst doing this job. I want the car to be usable after it is removed.

My FL1 has now done around 66k and I am planning some serious mileage early next year so thought I would pre-empt anything going wrong by replacing it and then driving to those nice chaps at Bell engineering to obtain a reconditioned unit.

I don't think I am having any problems with my vcu at the moment, but I would rather avoid it totally and it's not too expensive to get a recon with bearings.
