he guys,

well after a circular table saw insident im unable to use my right thumb properly at the min (not been able to driove at all for past few weeks).

Now its come to it i cant turn the key full way round, can get 1st 2 clkicks then its too painfull to turn it over (i have to start it with left hand......awkward lol)

so was wondering how easy it is to put a push button start in on my 300tdi,

any wiring diagrams hints tips would be great, thanks

Piece of ****, I would recommend keeping the key start function and wiring in a button start in parallel.

I use a button start when needed, and my hand is in good working order.

You will find that (when your hand is ok again) turning the key is easier/quicker when starting from scratch but if you stall it is easier to punch the button rather than turn the key off and on again.

Obvs in your case it's a must but what in saying is its good to keep the button fitted anyway cos it comes in handy, particularly off road where stalls are regular :)
