had some tyres fitted down the local garage. went to pick my car up and they have buggered it up.
EAS only raises the rear, front is on the bump stops, compressor just runs and runs and runs.

the buggers have given me a leak somewhere havent they, from just changing a tyre??

Are you sure it doesnt just need a reset . I thought that if you jack the car up to change wheels you should have the tailgate open so the EAS doesnt know whats going on and is not trying to self level, Spanner monkeys at tyre shop prob dont realise this

well after a busy day i've finally got to looking at it. went out withthe laptop to reset the fault code that came up whilst limping back from the dreadded place.

no fault codes listed bar the "has moved" one. rite, the back still go's up and down, slowly mind you, and never reaches the correct height and the compressor is constantly running, so i guess i am not holding any air in the tank. i'm thinking compressor seals or leak. to dark to do anyting now.

i think they used a two post lift. i had the tyres all swapped round so i'm thinking they couldnt be arsed to jack each corner.

if they used a two post lift that means all four wheels would have dropped down sending the sensors out of sync.

RSW solutions software will read any faults and reset them, height sensors do not go out of "sync" but they can be damaged by over extending. If the compressor is running continuously, then unless you are very unlucky to have got a fault at the same time, I would guess something has been damaged resulting in an air leak. If the airbags are very old it's possible that if they have been fully extended the seal between the bag and the mountings has moved, like a tyre bead coming off the rim. They get hard when they get old.

kooky, your just a jammy git. Datatek, i hear you.

will have to get the axel stande out tomorrow and get on my back and have a look, witha bottle or leak finder in hand. i have the rsw software, the sensors seem to be reporting back ok, but just cant get enough air to get the car to acess level. so a leak or compressor fault is somewhere. will update you tomorrow

rite, got the shape back in the bag, managed to pop the bead on the top back on. cleared the eas fault and up she went. no audible hissing anywhere so its parked up and i'll see if she drops by the morning.

he actually seems ok. fine on the inside, still very supple, photos dont do it justice. but i will have a word with the guy the garage. get it up on the ramps again wednesday after hours and have a good look around. then i'll tell him that if anythign go's wrong with it in the next year i'll be using his ramp and tools for free. cant get fairer than that. i could have just got it recovered to a stealers, where i expect he'd be getting a bill for a grand or so.
