Hi im new to landrovers just bought a freelander 56 plate clutch is heavy can anyone help

The freelander clutch does seem a bit heavy compared.to some saloons and hatchbacks. When I bought mine, my left leg was aching after the 150 mile drive home. I had been driving an auto for a few years previously. You get used to it. However compared to my series 3 clutch, the freelander was relatively light.
