if the engine is original it'll be a 2.5TD but dont quite look like mine. if you wanna replace it best bet would be a 200tdi quite a straightforward swap. worth restoring though.

cool, i also saw something on the net that they take a trooper 3.1 ? any idea?

Ye they do not as simple though. also take V8s then you can restore and sell in the states for much money! has to be 25 years old for that though
