I can't believe I never registered on this site before; I thought my moniker was on all of them!
Anyhow, I'm to be found all over internet Landy-land.
I work as a Warehouse Manager overseeing 6 massive warehouses full of old parts for Honda motorcycles. I also PDI, despatch and deliver KYMCO branded bikes to customers all over the UK, but especially into London at the moment.
I've had several green oval products and worked on most with the exception of the new stuff.
Previous vehicles include:
'79 2dr V8 RR
'90 4dr 2.8tdi Pajero engined RR
'80 2dr V8 LPG'ed RR
'89 5dr 200tdi Disco
'86 4dr V8 RR that is my offroad toy
and my latest one which is a '97 300tdi Disco Commercial
I am a member of Suffolk LROC and editor of the club magazine.
I am also the GLASS rep for Suffolk although I am hoping t share that with another club member shortly. I am passionate about laning and saving our lanes from the idiot minority who feel they can drive a lane in any weather or condition or turn the margins into their own little offroad site; such as one i saw a couple of years back in Essex. Disgusting abuse!
I feel that we need to regulate our own kind if we are to get any sort of respect whatsoever from other user groups and I would have no qualms at all of reporting any abuse on our lanes. My motto on this subject is:
If one wants to go mudplugging then that's what the pay & play sites are for, whereas if you want to enjoy driving unsurfaced lanes in our beautiful countryside then take the mudplugging head off and look at a lane first. If it's badly rutted or boggy as heck, then retrace your steps and perhaps come back when it's drier. We shouldn't be leaviing any sign we've been there if at all possible.
anyway that's almost turned into a rant, but it does prove my point about how much I love the lanes.
But enough about me...
