Hi everyone, what a great website and forum. Have always loved these machines since working with both LR and RR in the army many years ago. Now living the country life in Australia so got myself a Disco a couple of years back. A nice mint condition Petrol V6 3.8 Auto about 1997. Never had a thing go wrong with it, local bush mechanic services it for me, fantastic off road and great family car out here. In fact was so thrilled with it just got myself a Range Rover also mint condition 4.6 HSE Auto about 1997 too. So now we have two for dodging bushfires, etc.
After about three weeks Flashing light syndrome, bump stops and a long journey to a Land Rover Service centre. New valve block and all now good again. Accept - HEVAC display loosing some digits and main fan stuck on full blast. Anyone have any ideas before another long journey.
That aside the Rangie is an awesome ride, looks mint and is great out here. I have had a few new trims fitted to keep it prestige, anyone any tips for restoring the leather. Just have a drivers seat with a few leather cracks coming through. To think this car is now about 13/14 years old, it's like a new one even with about 180,00km.
