hi everyone !! i need help !!!

i got my disco a 1995 300tdi

Modifications’:
2Inch Brit Part Lift Springs (also a spare set of 2inch springs included in sale)
Pro Comp es9000 Shock
Heavy Duty dislocation cones
Snorkel
Wading Kit
CB Radio + Mp3 player
8x 31x10.50x15” Mud Tyres
Winch Bumper + Spots
Steering Guard
1x Jaw Pin & TowBar On front

1x Jaw Pin & TowBar On Rear

a few weeks ago it run fine in the short time iv had it after a good day at park wood on sunday on the way home the engine over heated, died and a cloud of smoke come out, i did not notice the temp go up untill it cut out. ended up on a recovery truck from birch services
the disco will not start at all now,:doh: the recovery fella said its cos my rad has a bit of mud still on it and thats made it overheat and the head gasket to blow ??? what other damage could have been done ???

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS


Do i try and get this engine fixed or put a different one in ????

i dont want to give up on this disco as iv put £1400 into getin it,

get the engine sorted even if you have to put a new engine in it its only gonna set you back £500 if you do it yourself

it's an expensive lesson to learn, but always rinse off your rad after playing in the mud!!
