Hi all let me re introduce myself was on here a couple of years ago be off due to poor health. back to usual now have 3 discovery 3s one seized one broken cam belt buy a few and repair again now decleared fit back in workshop will post story of how i remove a tdv6 in a big lump without removing body, photos etc as long as i can work out how anyone interested? have more time now semi retired TY

I have x 3 Land Rovers. 2 are organ donors for the 3rd. It's pragmatic.

so cheap when seized always same issues i just keep getting newer without spending money mostly time i drive a 2006 which i tow with just finished a 08 rebuild cam chain tensioner broke was my first before had td5 now have 06 in workshop with seized motor many thanks for welcome TY
 
Will try to download some pictures of my latest project over weekend i am a little way in but not to far its an auto with seized motor which can be a faff TY

may i ask do u ever get the jag engines for replacement plse as it seems many do that if an engine is beyond repair

see in Japan when a engine fails JLR replace them at there expense , alas here in the uk they simply won’t admit there’s an issue
 
yes you can pick up sometimes low mileage jag motors (276dt for 2.7) running and driving looking for one myself every thing i have had is bottom end usually seized, oil pumps, bearings turn. i think if i keep the 08 i have i will find a low mileage running jag mot fail with service history would be great, service it timing belts, oil pump the one with issues sorted, cam chains upgraded tensioners, oil seals, i also check lifters, and check for general wear maybe over the top but i like to do thing once
