Hi all,
So the wife just bought a 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 automatic, and guess whose job it will be to keep it going!
I have been away from Landies for many years, I used to do a lot of extremely tough traveling around East Africa (for work) in series III LWB petrol landrovers. That was in the days before mobile phones, sat navs and any electronics in a vehicle more complex than a light bulb. The maxim was that you should get worried when the oil stopped dripping out.
I see they are a bit different these days. I plan to maintain it myself, it will be used mostly on very broken and potholed tarmac plus some gentle offroad driving. I am hoping this forum can help me get a feel of the pleasures and pains awaiting me.
