Just saying hello. new landy owner bought a f reg 2.5 petrol 90 last weekend. ripped that out and shoved a 200tdi engine in, lucky enough found a defender one, and it only cost me £100. so she is running and im happy as a pig in sh*t. i have the bug band.
 
hey your from hereford are you? im from the forest really coleford way. sister inlaw lives in lanwarn. and my mate lives in hoarwithy. we will have to meet and get them plastered in mud. yea my mate had the engine in his garage for 2 years and was skint so i bit his arm off. only prob is the 90 is orange so will be doing something about that this weekend hopefully.

ye damn right ill let you no when we all go of im sure we are going somewhere end of the month not sure where though

that engine was a bargain there going for like 600 qiud atm :p

yea sounds good there is a few of us down here. so we will make a day of it. got some ****ty grizzly claws on her at min so dont no how they will perform, only borrowing them. need a lift kit really and a steering gaurd. i would of left her orange if it was tidy but bloke who done it must have been on the strongbow its with a brush and ****.

ah tidy should be a goodun then :D ye there be fine mate theres plenty of winches to hand if things get tasty anyway :p as for a lift kits i wouldnt worry mines not lifted yet been looking at one but read a few posts on here earlier and its doesnt sound a good idea (i think im going to anyway) :p but ye steering guard defo and some diff guards if you havnt yet:D haha the strongbow look people will soon pay loads for it;) what colour you going for then?
 
dont no was thinking matt black but not sure. dont want to much hard work. dont want to be messing about with clear coat and things like that. i will have to take some pics so you can have a look. i need to turn her down aswell messed with pump and actuator rod. she is fast but fookin thirsty 200 smiles too 55 quid

ah shes guttsy then i was thinking of turning mine up as it feels under powered after fitting my 305/70/16:D
mine is doing 140 on half a tank not sure what that works out in money terms about 21-23 mpg ish thats manly town driving though to and from work, do you boot it alot though? :p
 
dont really boot it alot, prob is because she is turned up so much turbo is always spooling even driving steady then i only really do about 20 miles a day to the farm and back thats it. so ill see. you had your landy long then?
