HEVAC Connectors

Has anybody managed to release any wires from the connectors on the back of the HEVAC. One of the blend motor wires is ok if the wire is bent down but not in the normal position. I can't see how the connector wire sockets are retained in the housing.

I have changed it in my car and had no problems with it...They have come out easy and no complications...

Now completely butchered and chocolate blocked but no cheque book symbol on the HEVAC. First time in about 3 years. Turned out after the blend motors where changed with a new set that there was a problem with one of the terminals of the blend motor connector on the back of the HEVAC. Really wouldn't of thought it.

Although RAVE says that the pins can be released by easing the "Barb" out of the way, in reality it's better to just cut the leads and splice the new leads into the existing harness by soldering and fitting heat shrink tubing to insulate the leads.
We all know..or should do..that electrics on P38's are tempremental at best of times and wiring joints should be 100%, especially those which require half the car to be dismantled to access. Forget the "Scotchlocks", they are useless, especially when the cables have got oxidised...go for solder joints everytime, preferably protected with mastic lined heat shrink at best, failing that, get a box of assorted heat shrink from Lidl or Aldi..better than nothing or PVC tape!!
