Hi All,
I"ve changed my good old reliable X reg TD4S Auto for a nice looking Y reg TD4ES Auto 3 door model and all in all I am very pleased with it.
However, it does have one very annoying feature, she"s a bit of an Arse to start first time in the morning and it also seems to be worse in this hot weather. When I first try to start it in the morning I turn the key, the engine turns over but she will not start. I turn it off and try again and invariably she will start.
It"s not the Battery because that"s brand new and once we"re on the move she runs perfectly, so could it be something to do with the Injectors?
Any help or advice would be appreciated and don"t forget I"m a 71 year old OAP so don"t suggest clambering underneath to have a look around.
One other thing, the Air Con! It don"t get Cold! What remedies are there for that?
Cheers all

fail to start could be cam sensor or faulty injector, cam sensor around £40, or carry out a leak back test.

ecu won't let engine start if injector pressure are not equal, so if one is leaking back a little, it won't get up to pressure and start. Can also try spraying easy start into the air intake, if the engine fires it it probably the injectors. leak back test is easy to do with 4 empty coke bottles and some fuel pipe. Do a search on here and a few have done it.

as for the air con, regas would be 1st port of call, not worth checking if compressor clutch is engaging because it won't engage with low pressure.

good luck
