Hi folks.
Just popped in to introduce myself.
I currently own a RRS having also owned a new Evoque and now looking to maybe get a Defender for fun purposes. Love the LR brand!
Having an interesting browse on your forum but also here to help.
When I purchased my Evoque I had an issue with seat height.
Speaking to LR owners of Discovery's and Defenders, the issue seems common.

Having made some seat risers for the evoque I helped many forumers by supplying them cheaply to help them out.
I've now made more by adjusting the size for the Defender - which have become the most sold product in my range, so the issue must be common with your defenders too?
If interested, I can offer you a set of seat risers through fleabay (just type in Defender seat risers) that will increase your ride height by 30mm. Doesn't sound a lot? Read my feedback, you'd be amazed.
Here to help if I can.
New to this forum so maybe best to message me through fleabay as I don't know how to receive messages on this forum. Or email me at [email protected].
I'm not a business, I'm a landrover owner trying to help other LR friends!

I think that might be considered as spam?

I'm not a business? Just offering an accessory that a lot of Defender drivers have thanked me for?
If it was a business I'd have gone bump as I don't make enough profit for an advert :p

Posting identical messages in different parts of the forum is far worse than bumping.

So you're not a business but have a 'product range'?

Sounds legit

I think it works by people paying when they advertise their businesses!

I've made some seatrisers just for Evoque, then was asked to make some for Discivery and then had a call from a DEFENDER owner to make him some.
Then had more calls to make more.
All I was doing was asking Defender owners if I could help supplying them something they would thank me for...
if I was wrong to do so then that's fine, I'll remove myself from the forum.
I don't really understand the issue, but if I have caused issue just let me know and I'll toddle off?
It's not a major?
I honestly thought I was offering a solution to a problem for you guys ?

95% of users on this forum could make them & the other 5% are too tall.... so we don't need them.

Welcome to landyzone btw

That's fair enough.........you only had to say.......as you have blew me out the window I'll toddle off.........not a problem........joined the wrong forum.......

See now here's my problem, we don't like spam.

Forum members making stuff to help others out and asking for beer tokens in return is one thing.

Joining out of the blue, multiple posting in different sections, advertising a fleabag listing available to anyone who cares to search and their dog is something altogether different.

Anyone with an interest in any of the LR forums would know that.

Prove me wrong, post up a working drawing to 'help people out'. I'm sure there'll be some that haven't got the kit or the time to do it themselves and ask if you'd consider knocking some for beer tokens.

Many would do it themselves though.

Or would that mean your not a business would lose out? o_O

I have no problem with that?
Yes you could make them yourselves, of course you can.
Take a piece of 1.1/8 diameter stainless steel bar, machine cut it to 30mm high, drill it out 8mm diameter through length, chem black the parts (yes you can get a spray can if you want but I don't like that idea) then purchase some new longer bolts and washers and fit them.
I didn't say you couldn't do it yourself. What I said was I have already done it for those that haven't got the facility to do so and my cost for supplying them ready made is the price of 5 beer tokens?
Depending where you drink of course...... believe me...... this isn't a business.....i'd go bump overnight for 5 beer tokens

As for double posting --I apologise.
I thought one was just an introduction as a member and one was a post offering help, yes same post but in other forums this is the way they want it.....so I apologise for that, it wasn't intentional to spam......and egg...
