Help!!!

I want to buy a TD4s to tow a caravan, the van weighs no more than 1500kg fully loaded. Is the freelander up to it and has anybody else had experience towing this kind of weight?

Not sure about the td4 but pwilky has a freelander petrol that he uses to tow his caravan so maybe he can shed some light in the situation..

hi i have a 02 td4 and i tow a 23ft hobby caravan!!
ive had 85mph but sh't bricks so slowed down
the caravan goes about 2100kg fully loaded

My caravan weighs about 2100kg fully loaded and i tow it with a 1800 xei..it pulls it a treat...only problem is it loves to sit at 55mph....it will tow faster but as soon as you look down its back at 55 again...still it sways abit at 65mph anyway,so im not complaining.

Im on second TD4 - had first for 3 years this one since March this year - Tow a single axle approx 1400kg caravan no nbother at all. will hold between 60 and 70 - yes i know 60 is speed limit but speedos fast anway! on motorway no trouble in fifth gear and will climb most hills without loosing speed or having to change down.
