I've only just had my 2008 Freelander 2 (2.2L TD4) for a little while. Everything seems to be in pretty good condition except there is an intermittent whirring noise from the engine room when I set the A/C on. The noise never happens in Econ mode so I'm suspecting the air con pump or its clutch assembly bearings.
I've never done any work on this car before so I'm basically asking where to look for information on repair / maintenance procedures and spare part numbers etc?
Any pointers on accessing the air con pump would be appreciated too.
