Hi, Just to see if anyone can help, i have a 1988 defender and i seem to have a bit of oil in my air filter!!! is there a quick fix to stop this?? i have a new one ready to go in but would prefer if it would stay a tad cleaner than the current one!!!

Just disconnect the breather pipe from the rocker cover and point it some where rusty or into a separate bottle. I get the same (a 2.5TD). Seems a shame to spoil a good filter doesnt it ! Old oily filter or new filter couldn't tell the differenc driving though ! AndyC
