HELP NEEDED!! P38 4.6 nearly burst in to flames! white hot cats

so just when i thought all was going well, i was driving along and i got power loss like i was running out of petrol pulled in to a petrol station and there was a smell of burning and looked under and saw this.......

its also work pointing out that i did a read with the FCR and it shows that a fuel temperature sensor needs attention,

the coil pack was knackered last week, would they not all be a related problem with the fuel temp sensor too?

Yes a failed coil pack could have damaged the cats how far did you drive it when coil pack started playing up?

not far, when the coil pack was acting up the engine didnt really start. so it turned over then conked out a few times, then it was trailered back to the house, new coil pack fitted and it started again.

why are the cats playing up? im assuming they broke up in pieces inside and are now blocking the pipe?
