P38A Help! iv'e sprung a leak

I'm hoping some one knows the answer to this? iv'e got a 1996 DSE P38 and its sprung a diesel leak,
its coming from a little plate on the side of the injector pump that's held in place with two allen bolts.
Its easy to get to without disturbing anything else on the pump but the questions is -
Whats behind the plate? i don't want to remove it only to find a big spring or some little thingymejigs come flying out. So answers on a postcard please as the drive is starting to look like the scene of the Exon Valdez

Just be careful.
When you say "be careful" do you mean it could fly out and take my eye out? or do you mean it could fly out never to go back? i've been thinking about the best way to approach it, and i might try slackening the bolts off, cleaning it with brake cleaner and squeezing some sealer in there. Any thoughts?

Forget the sealer unless you want to replace the FIP.

If you don't know what you are doing get someone who does to change the seal, really easy job if you know what you are about. Squeezing sealant into injection pumps is not a very good idea. It's an O'ring maybe the plate has been over tightened and deformed, make sure it is flat before you put it back on.

Yes I have a complete reseal guide you don't even need to take the pump off some else just did this recently and all went well, I need you to pm me an email address and I will send it over
