HELP! I need info on A Reg D110 with 2.25 motor

I've got 2 hours left to make a decision, as it is listed on Ebay for sale. I need an A reg, as I intend to export it to the US next year, but I need it now for hauling to trade shows, etc. How does a 2.25 with the 4 speed tow? It's had an LPG conversion, does this help/hinder towing? I have an ex-AA dual axle trailer that I intend to pull with heavy cars on it (VW Vans, Defenders, etc.) ANY and all advice from you guys that have actually driven with this motor is appreciated! We only got V8's here in the US, I'm in Northern California...
