Picked up my 1st Disco yesterday, cool. :)

Lights worked fine till yesterday evening when sitting in Tesco carpark, the blue high beam light came on, on the dash and the lights went onto side lights only?

This morning hey all ok. :)

Tonight on my way out, (after the missus took 2hrs to get ready,) guess what, NO lights, again only side.

Can anyone please sugest where I can start looking tomorrow. Before my wench castrates me.

OK will do, Thanks for the advice, think my wench will still try to castrate me, especially when I tell her I've got to spend more of my money. :D

The problem will most likely be the conector on the back of the headlamp bulb has melted and is shorting and/or just not making any connections. Replace em and u'll be sorted. You can usually get the lights to work by having a fiddle about with them but it won't last just stick a couple of new ones on.

Doesn't usually take both of em out at the exact same time though.

I agree with Pikey, mind you, if the dipped wire has shorted to ground, it might have blown a fuse. The connectors are easily available from Halfrauds or similar.

i had the same prob i had high beam but only when i flashed and only sides i replaced the stalk but it wasnt that it was the dim dip relay, mine is a disco 1 200tdi 1993 as well and my relay was in the side pannel drivers side (right) foot well

u can change the same sort of relay to check this as this is wat i did !!!

if that helps !!! as this had me lookin and got me stresed out for a week lol

good look
