My name is Maurizio, 57 from Rome, Italy.
Although I have never owned a Land Rover (yet) I have cut my teeth in offroading thanks to some 38 years in the Army and 9 years with a Tata Safari 3.0 ... cheap, sturdy, tough as a nail but with hopeless logistics.
Aaah, well...
I currently romp around on a 1980 MGB GT rhd... but not all hope is lost, I am looking at buying a Defender 130 as a retirement toy.
Question is, all 130s available in Italy were strictly in the TD4 Pickup version - any 130 Station Wagons ever made?
I would like to source one and convert it as a campervan for ... long range pub crawling.
You knowm, start Friday afternoon heading east, return the next year from the west! XD
