Hi everyone,

I'm Matt, based in Leyland and I've just bought my first Landy, it's a 110 as a rolling project / daily driver. It's not been on the road for a few years, no MOT, brakes don't work, one of the shocks is knackered, had a small garden growing in / on it and it seems to rain more inside than it does outside but I already love it.

It's running a 300tdi from a disco through an LT77 box, and it's got a few nice bits on it as you can see from the picture. Needs a few things sorting out before I can MOT it and it's going to be my daily driver while I finish my other two projects (very quick Bug and an RX7). So I guess you could say this is my sensible car.

Chassis is solid, bulkhead has has a few repairs so long term I'll be swapping it out but should be fine for a good few years yet.

Got lots of little things planned but just want to get it MOT'd and driving for now.

Cheers :)

Cheers pal, yeah it's had money thrown at it but not a lot of love... Should be awesome when it's sorted though. I'll check out skytag and will be investing in a few things to stop them taking it in the first place too...

Cheers, yeah not sure if the wheels are genuine or not and none of its legal at the minute (found lots of hand tight suspension / brake / seat bolts etc)... Scary! Obviously I've not driven it on the road and got it picked up on a trailer

welcome

now that looks really good

what did the mot checker come back with ,

Not been for one yet, only picked it up a week ago, sorting the brakes which didn't work at all (seems to have been a loose fitting to the PWDA) and a few other things like handbrake, lights and a shock but should have it MOT'd in the next month I hope!

aplogises , i meant the mot history of the vehicle

can give a general idea of how many bits have been done on it in the past

well jealous , looks an awesome landy and know it's been mentioned already , ref the sky tag

have u seen the pedal locks

Ah right sorry, yeah not much history with it but from a look over it's had wheel bearings, calipers, pads, discs, rear shoes and cylinders, master cylinder and servo, extended braided lines, loads of bushes, sumo arms, the front lights are all new, winch and bumper are a few years old, tyres are 18months old and haven't been used on the road at all. CV joints look recent too, there's a lift kit (seems higher at the back and lower on the drivers side so will be investigating that). Terrafirma extreme shocks on the back and britpart on the front I think. Might shove some new ones on so I know what's what. Has dislocation cones and different rear shock mounts, extended bars etc. Wheels may or may not be Mach 5, they taper / step out to a wider bore t at the end of the spokes of that helps identify them?

Body work is badly sprayed black over white and full of tree scratches (very happy with it for what I paid though!) and yes I think I'll get a tracker on it sharpish given what you guys have said already!

no worries, was my bad writing as per usual, lol

sounds as u say a serious amount of cash has been spent on it

hope it's not rude in asking but was there a reason it's been off road for a while , did they run out of cash

think you've got a great bargain there , seeing the amount of bits that have been put on

always think the fenders are the kings of land rovers , but alas needed some comfort and auto box :p:D

Yeah he was a labourer and bought it as a weekend toy to mess about on his mates farm (there's a massive pile of pay and play tickets too). He works 6 days a week and bought a sports bike a year ago so no time to sort out the little things. Don't think he was that mechanically minded either...

Developed a huge brake leak and it's sat there since!

It had been sat a while...
