That's a nice looking disco mate mines had the head lights changed to xeons re mapped egr valves blanked off drives really well

hi mate

just had all the cam belts etc changed, made sure i got the upgraded oil pump and water pump done at the same time , watched them do all of it in 5 x hours , was very impressive

still got to do the egr blanks

only thing i've done with the headlights was to fit some osram night breakers

also just fitted a range rover supercharge grill , looks abit better , have now fitted the land rover badge

may i ask what kind of mpg are u getting since doing the egr blank plse

thought about a remap, but in all honesty find it powerful enough as it is,

useto have a synergy box fitted on my old hippo but been told it's not a good idea with these engines

Hard to say because I blanked them off and did a re map about a week later dependent on how I drive it I get around 32.2 mpg on a run and any where from 20.5 to 24.5 mpg around town. I thought the same as your self about a re map but I did it any way made it much more of a better motor to drive. I fitted a pair of genuine Land Rover xeons to mine the egr blank is worth doing it shouldn't really affect mpg too much if anything a slight improvement in mpg as it's going to get cleaner cooler air instead of warm waste gasses

that's what i'm getting now, for some unknown reason since having all the belts done the mpg has improved , wonder if the rear fuel pump belt may have been out

but am extremely happy , came back on the motorway and pulls like a train, smoother and quieter too

still got a lot of bits to do, not looking forward fitting a set of silicone intercooler hoses

but just getting through them in stages ,

will u be coming to our annual lz13 get together in june , great event where we put names to faces along with a greenlane day

how have u found the xeon headlights

seen some good led lightbars fitted , like the way this one has been fitted

The rear cam belt isnt timed. The silicone hoses are a nice touch to be fair only one that you will have fun with will be the one of the turbo it's self the other two aren't that bad to get at. Taking the passenger side arch liner out will help massively with access to the passenger side intercooler hose. I have yet to change mine when I get the time to change them I'm not sure yet to be honest depends on if I can get some time of work plus at the moment I am trying to get the Mobile tuning of the ground. The head lights came from the garage i work for

thks ref the rear belt, was impressive watching the rear belt being changed

seeing land rover want to take the body off to replace them

intercooler hoses feel quite soft , so just thought in changing them , along with getting the t bar stainless steel hose clamps , won't have to worry about them anymore

the small turbo one does indeed look fun, if that's the case of removing the inner arch can also spray and clean the 3 x connector plugs at the same time

most important job i've got coming up is getting the headlining out to replace the curtain airbags, once there done will be extremely happy , long story , lol

nearly finished the suspension rebuild, got an air tank. reservoir valve and inlet / exhaust compressor silencer to fit , then that lot will be done and dusted

good luck with the tuning , is it just landies u do

The belts ain't that easy to do the rear belt at the moment yes I can re map just land rovers at the moment I liked my Alive map that much I decicded to become a agent for alive on a mobile basis its hard but a hey it's going to be fun. Why are you replacing the curtain air bags lol I haven't had to do that with mine just the std normal bits that wear out and go wrong.

they done front and rear belts, water pump, upgraded oil pump, tensioners front and rear ,aux belt etc in 5 x hours

only had mine 4-5 months, found out the drivers side curtain air bags had gone off, previous owner removed them, so got to fit new ones

haven't heard of the alive map tuning , will have a look

does seem reports with tuning in how there supposed to improve the mpg

Wow that's sly is that they are fairly easy and stright forward to replace just time consuming that's all. That's good average mpg mines mainly around town but last week I went up to Cumbria on the back roads and managed 32.2 there and back so I was happy at the moment I am getting 28.8 mpg around town so i am even happier. The Alive tuning can help improve mpg but the extra power and torque makes it more drivable

they had it down to a fine art, was also good being able to see it being done from start to finish

that's really good mpg, is there a web site i can look at please ref the alive tuning

found my map sensor was blocked solid , so dread to think what the egr pipes etc are like
