Hi All, new to here but not to Landrovers products. Previously owned and rebuilt a long wheel base, series 3 'Safari' 6 cylinder, great for days out with all the family and for pulling trees down, but not the most economical modes of transport.
Next was a short wheelbase made from bits which I collected, but had to sell prior to completion for time and economic reasons, bought a house instead.
Currently we have 2 freelanders, the first one we bought is a V plate DI which we have had for 5 years, apart from the usual bits and pieces I have had to replace IRD and viscous coupleing, nothing unusual in that then, other than that it is great.
The latest one is a 55 plate TD4, what a difference, owned for a year and been great until fuel pump saga, but sorted now and back to full power.
Both tow a caravan like a dream and fairly economically as well.
So as you can see, a bit of a gutton for punishment.
