hello all. new to this forum! heavy steering problem on discovery..

hi , hope someone can advise as i have just spent £1300 on anew steering pump etc., and breaks and pads allround! however, i am finding the steering is still somewhat heavy, especially from standing to manoevering and going slow..will check tyres and hope this is the problem.....any advice please!..

How heavy is heavy?

Are there any strange noises when steering?

Who replaced the power steering pump? £1300 for the pump and new pads sounds overpriced by around 3 times what I'd expect it to be.

It cost me £250 for a power steering pump for my TD5 at xmas. Brake pads for a disco are around £10.
