Hi Everybody,

Anyone got info on programming a remote heater fob to my Range Rover. All help much appreciated.

Mikey

+1 to 2.0Hippo...Vogue or HSE? Vogue has heater remote box as standard. (p.s., the FBH only comes as standard on a Doozel!!)

Look behind the fuse box in the RHS Rear panel in the boot (as you're looking into the boot from the tailgate), if there's a box to the RHS behind the fuse board with two cables coming from it...you may have a remote heater receiver.

Check that first, then come back to us...programming a fob isn't difficult, but it can be a fiddly and time consuming job.

Got my fob programmed, but it took time, patience and mucho searching on this brill site for clues!
Now I've got it sorted and working, especially with the recent cold weather...it's been brill!!!

takes 10 seconds max to program a remote to the receiver ! lol

mine is all programmed but i cant use the damn thing as it wont enable the FBH feature properly within the ECU settings on the faultmate !!!

:mad::mad:

What remote fob do you have? The best fob is the Webasto T91, that's the one I've got, cos it's smaller than the standard T89/T90 fob and is easier to program. You can also download the handbook from the Webasto website.

The best way to program the fob is as follows.

1. Remove the battery from the fob. CHECK the battery is OKAY, it won't synch if the battery is old or low on charge.
2. Locate the Webasto FBH receiver behind the fuse panel in the rear RH section of the boot.
3. If you can reach the power lead without unscrewing the fuse panel to gain access, then you just need to (gently) pull out the power lead connector (that's the lead on the RHS of the receiver, it can be fiddly to remove the connector so be careful).
4. Wait for at least 30 seconds, then put the fob battery back in.
5. Reconnect the power lead to the FBH Receiver and simultaneously press and hold the OFF Button until the light flashes on the fob (at least 10 seconds).

This should synch the fob to the receiver, but sometimes you have to do it a couple of times to get it sorted. As I said previously, it will either work first time or be a right fiddle.

Good luck.

I thought the T91 was the latest fob, a lot smaller than the T89/T90 that LR sold as standard with the L322 Vogues up to 2005, but still compatible with all FBH receivers. I've got the T91 and it deffo works with my fbh receiver. Mine is a 2005 spec Vogue, with the MOST system.

All the webasto fobs should synch with the webasto receivers.

I have the original fob as supplied with the car and shown in the operators manual, is this the one you gave programming instructions for. My Range Rover is a Vogue L22 TD8 2007 Model.

Yep, that's the correct fob, it's the webasto T89/90 fob.

The programming instructions should be pretty much the same as for the T91. I've got a 2005 model L322 diesel Vogue and the standard fob would have been the same as you've got. I got a T91 off of fleabay and it programmed to my FBH receiver with no problems.

I would say that if your fob isn't working with the heater, it could be one of two things:

1. check that the FBH is working, by doing a manual set/program through the sat nav screen. If the FBH doesn't come on, then 'there's your problem'! FBH not working.

2. Check and replace the fob battery, the led's may light up on the fob but the battery is too fecked to work properly.

My first thought would be to replace the battery in the fob and try the reprogram as per my previous post.

The fob battery is a Duracell 1/3N battery, get one off the interweb cos most places don't stock them.

Thanks Discotigger for all your help. I could not undo the power cable for the receiver, so I just pulled the fuse, I think it was number 14 then followed your instructions but instead of reconnecting the power lead, I replaced the fuse, it worked perfect.

Thanks for all your help once again.
