Heater fan speed improvement kit

Came across this today..

Land Rover 90/110/Def heater fan speed improvement kit on eBay (end time 30-Dec-10 17:32:14 GMT)

Any thoughts as to whether it would be any good?

I bought one but not fitted it yet. (mainly cos me fan didn't work & i wanted to see what the std was like first)
Its supposed to increase the fan speed for position 1 to more like half way.
Will report back when fitted but I'm not doing until after the snows gone though

Whats wrong with moving the lever to position 2 if position 1 is not fast enough?
Total cost - nowt!

Yep, agree with that one.

I have a scoop which does away with the need to run the heater in position-1 in almost all situations (no-good when stationary of course) but for a boost position-2 is fine and I have never considered it noisy.

I think (and I stand to be corrected here) that this kit was designed for when the resistor-pack needed replacement and this was a cheaper (and non-standard) fix. ???
