Heater Fan Dial

Noticed the heater fan doesnt work on number 1 but is fine on all other speeds.

My girlfriends rover doesnt work on numbers 1 & 2 but all others are fine.

Are there known problems with these controls and is replacement with new the only solution?

B1. The problem is almost certainly one or more open circuit resistors in the heater motor resistor pack. If you're prepared to spend the time you could remove the resistor pack and identify the faulty resistors using an Ohmmeter then check if Maplin can supply suitable replacements. yes Dan is correct. . . .cannot think as to why they still use that old stupid resistor speed control. . . .thyristor speed control is soo easy 0-100%speed one pot no clicks i'm orft ta pub
