As part of the rebuild, I’m fitting a heated windscreen. I have read that the relay needs to be (original landrover spec) a 70A relay. I intend to fit a 70A relay anyway, but doing a resistance test yesterday showed 1 ohm. That’s only around 13-15A draw, or roughly 200W. I expected it to be more like 0.5ohm, 30A? Has anyone else measured their windscreen resistance? This is more for fitting the correct gauge wire than relay size. I don’t want to go wiring in with 2.5mm if I should be using 6mm or 10mm.

But the screen hasn't got a split element has it? ie- 2 X 30amp loads?

No it’s 2 tabs, one on each bottom corner.
